VotApp 2.3

The mission of the second edition of the GeoFilmFestival is to showcase short films from around the globe that explore themes central to the festival: Environment, Land, Four Elements, Renewable Energy, and Sustainable Food Production.

Filmmakers from all corners of the world are invited to submit their films and engage with the audience through the VotApp platform. This innovative application was developed by students from the "Istituto Tecnico Barsanti" high school in Castelfranco Veneto, Italy.

Using VotApp, each viewer present in the screening room can cast their vote for their favorite film in real-time, influencing which films make it to the final round and ultimately receive awards.

Moreover, beyond the voting process, GeoFilmFestival aims to foster collaboration between the film industry and emerging young professionals currently in academia, creating valuable learning opportunities for these students.
